All healed over!

Add caption
Allen and Grandaughter Mackay!
Well I hope its safe to say Allen is all healed over. He had 4 surgery's in 3 1/2 months as is finally getting back to normal. Two total knees, and a emergency bleeded, and his thyroid out. I call him the Bionic Man soon he won't have any of his original parts. This is always an humbling experience and we are very grateful and blessed that everything went well with his surgerys and recovery. We had had plans to go up the coast this year but you soon learn there's more important things. Now we are looking ahead hoping that the economy starts getting better and that he can be back doing what he loves BUILDING HOUSES. Oh yes and HUNTING can't forget that.

CHALLENGES

Well I know life is full of these lately it seems as if alot have found us. Its what we learn from these that are important. I have learned what a loving helping family we have and are always there for us. I also know I would rather have my challenges or trials then someone elses. I know that we are not given more than we can handle so Allen and I are pretty tough at times. So I guess what it comes down to is the most important thing we have is each other and our familys.
Allen has had 3 surgerys in 4 weeks. He has had two total knee replacements and one emergency surgery to fix a bleeder he had in his knee. He is doing much better now still weak but feeling much less pain. He is a very strong Man and has been through a lot but if you were to ask him how he was he would say. "I've never had a bad day!
Thanks to all our family, siblings, and friends for all the help! We so appreciate it all!
A quote I found * The best vitamin to be a happy person is B1 *
Until later! And yes, we plan at staying away from hospitals

Empty Nest!

Hi, well its time for a new blog for sure. I know I wrote empty nest as my title but I can finally say that I am enjoying life as a empty nester. Beau has been gone for 2 years now and him and Stefanie are going to have there first child a boy! in September. The time in our lifes as we are raising our children is very busy, crasy, emotional, happy, time consuming, sleepless, worrysome, fun, and so worth it. But it is such a wonderful feeling and feeling of accomplishment to see them all venture off and start there on lifes. The Blessings they give you back are so wonderful. The Grandchildren that love and care for you so much is all worth it. Between Allen and I we have 10 children, and 29 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. But about the empty nest it is so nice to watch a whole movie through with no interuption, take a long shower, clean your house and it stays clean except the dust, sleep in if you want and can, shop with out taking a bunch of kids and all there needs, cook only for two, read or write a letter without someone yelling your name. But this one is for my kids ( I can actually have all of my 32 ounces of diet coke) unless the grandkids are around.LOL
Life is good no matter what stage we are in it is a constant learning process but full of many opportunities and much love and caring from some wonderful Children, Spouses, Grandkids, Family and Friends. Thanks for all all of you do!

Now to Allen - he is home Day 3 after Total knee replacement . This is his second one in two weeks as I type he is out side riding side saddle on his 4 wheeler. He is doing well but so hard to keep down some. I will not be back to work until Tuesday and by then he will hopefully not need his walker any longer. He is such a tough man they are calling him the bionic man. He is a wonderful husband and such a hard worker . This will make it so much easier for him to get around now.
Just want to say thanks to everyone for the visits and phone calls.
Remember " Life is what we make it"
until next time.

I'm Back!

Hi everyone, after a little harrassement from kids yesterday I decided it was time for a new post. We had such a fun day yesterday going to Logandale for Baxter's ordainment to a Deacon. Who can believe he is 12 years old? And Bella is right around the corner to turning 12 also. Today I just want to say How lucky I am to have such terrific Kids and the best Grandkids. The Love those Grandkids give you is the very best. We sure had some fun laughs yesterday and a good visit with family.
Thanks Girls for following my example of Braids, matching outfits, fruits and vegs at meals, and time outs.

And the fun news is I am off to California with Grant and Holly to Disneyland and the Zoo next week can't wait.
see you soon!
